1. Copyright Compliance Statement

1990 Web Archive operates as a digital preservation service dedicated to archiving historically significant early web content. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. As a service provider, we comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable international copyright laws.

2. How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content hosted or archived on our platform infringes upon your copyright, please submit a formal notice to our designated DMCA agent. To be processed, your notice must comply with 17 U.S.C. § 512(c) and include the following elements:

1. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
3. Identification of the infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (specific URLs, archive timestamps, or capture identifiers)
4. Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email address)
5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

3. Counter-Notification Process

If you believe your content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification. Your submission must include:

• Your physical or electronic signature
• Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and its location
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
• Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
• Consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address and agreement to accept service of process

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the complainant and may restore the archived material within 10-14 business days, unless we receive notice that the complainant has filed an action seeking a court order.

4. Repeat Infringer Policy

1990 Web Archive maintains a strict policy against repeat infringers. Users or contributors who are found to have engaged in egregious copyright infringement may have their accounts terminated and access to submission tools revoked. We reserve the right to cooperate with law enforcement and share information with other industry preservation initiatives to address systematic abuse.

5. Designated DMCA Contact

All DMCA notices and counter-notifications must be directed to our designated copyright agent. Please ensure your submission includes all required elements outlined above to avoid processing delays.

6. Limitation of Liability

1990 Web Archive serves as a passive conduit for historical web preservation. We do not control, monitor, or host user-generated content on active domains. Our archive functions as a read-only historical repository. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for third-party content, its accuracy, legality, or historical attribution.
