The 1990 Web Archive is dedicated to preserving, cataloging, and providing public access to websites, documents, and digital artifacts from the dawn of the World Wide Web (1990–1999). We believe the early internet is a crucial piece of cultural and technological history that deserves to be preserved for future generations.
Our collection currently holds over 4.2 million archived pages, ranging from the first CERN experiments to GeoCities personal homepages, early e-commerce portals, academic research sites, and web rings.
