Enforcement & Appeals Process
Transparent guidelines on how Aevum News moderates content, handles violations, and provides structured recourse for readers and contributors.
Overview
Aevum News maintains strict editorial and community standards to ensure accurate, respectful, and constructive discourse. Our enforcement framework is designed to be consistent, proportional, and fully documented. Every action taken is reversible through our formal appeals process, which prioritizes fairness, context, and due process.
This document outlines how violations are categorized, reviewed, and enforced, followed by the step-by-step procedure for submitting and resolving appeals.

Appeals Process
If you believe a content removal, restriction, or penalty was applied incorrectly or without proper context, you may submit a formal appeal. All appeals are reviewed independently by personnel not involved in the original decision.
Submit Your Appeal
Access the official appeals portal or email our standards team. Include your account identifier, the specific action taken, and a clear explanation of why you believe it was erroneous.
Provide Supporting Evidence
Attach relevant context, primary sources, timestamps, or communication logs. Well-documented appeals significantly improve review accuracy and speed.
Independent Review
Your case is assigned to a senior moderator. Complex or high-impact cases are escalated to the Editorial Standards Committee for panel review.
Resolution & Communication
You will receive a detailed outcome notification. Decisions may include full reinstatement, partial reinstatement, or upheld action with explicit rationale.
Review Timeline
Our commitment to transparency extends to predictable processing times:
- Standard Appeals: 3–5 business days
- Complex/Escalated Cases: 5–7 business days
- Editorial Committee Review: Up to 10 business days
Expedited review is available for time-sensitive professional or business accounts upon verification. Status updates can be tracked via your support dashboard.
