Aevum News uses ClickTale (now part of PathFactory) as a user experience measurement and heatmapping tool to understand how visitors interact with our website. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and how you can control your privacy preferences.

Our commitment to journalistic integrity and reader privacy remains absolute. ClickTale data is used strictly for analytical and usability purposes and is never used to personally identify individual readers or to compromise editorial independence.

ClickTale is a web analytics and user experience tool that captures aggregated, anonymized data about how visitors navigate and interact with our digital properties. It generates visual heatmaps, scroll maps, and session recordings to help us optimize content layout, improve navigation, and enhance accessibility.

ClickTale data is processed and stored securely via PathFactory's analytics infrastructure. We share only non-identifiable interaction metrics with ClickTale/PathFactory for processing.

Data is retained for a maximum of 12 months, after which it is permanently deleted or aggregated into anonymized statistical reports. We do not sell, rent, or license ClickTale data to third parties, including advertisers or data brokers.

6. Your Rights & Opt-Out

You maintain full control over your analytics tracking experience:

• Browser Settings: Enable "Do Not Track" or use privacy-focused browsers/extensions.
• ClickTale Opt-Out: Visit clicktale.com/privacy/opt-out to disable all ClickTale tracking globally.
• Cookies: Manage analytics cookies via your browser's cookie settings or our site consent banner.
• Request Deletion: Submit a written request to privacy@aevumnews.com for removal of your session data (processing time: up to 30 days).
