Journalism is the foundation of an informed society. At Aevum News, we believe that truth is not a commodity to be traded, but a responsibility to be upheld. This Code of Ethics establishes the non-negotiable standards that guide every journalist, editor, producer, and staff member across our global network. We pledge to serve the public with integrity, courage, and unwavering commitment to factual accuracy.

1. Accuracy & Verification

Accuracy is the cornerstone of our journalism. Every claim, statistic, and attribution must be rigorously verified before publication.

2. Independence & Impartiality

Aevum News maintains absolute editorial independence from political parties, corporate interests, advertisers, and external stakeholders.

3. Fairness & Balance

Fairness does not mean false equivalence, but rather a commitment to representing significant viewpoints proportionally and contextually.

4. Privacy, Safety & Harm Reduction

The pursuit of truth must never justify unnecessary harm to vulnerable individuals or communities.

5. Conflicts of Interest

All personnel must disclose personal, financial, or professional relationships that could influence or appear to influence their work.

6. Accountability & Transparency

We hold ourselves to the same standards we expect of those we cover. Transparency is not optional—it is operational.

7. Enforcement & Oversight

This Code is binding for all employees, contractors, freelancers, and contributors representing Aevum News.
