Can I file a report completely anonymously?

Yes. You can submit a report without providing your name, email, or any identifying information. Anonymous reports are treated with the same seriousness and undergo the same review process. However, providing contact details allows us to follow up for additional information if needed.
What happens after I submit a report?

Within 24 hours, you'll receive an automated acknowledgement with a unique case reference number. Our independent Ethics Board then reviews your report. Depending on the nature and severity, they may conduct an investigation, request additional information, or determine that no further action is warranted. You will be updated on the outcome to the extent possible.
Is there a risk of retaliation for reporting?

Aevum News maintains a strict zero-retaliation policy. Any form of retaliation against a reporter â including intimidation, discrimination, or adverse employment action â is grounds for immediate disciplinary action, up to and including termination. We provide legal support and work with employment authorities to protect whistleblowers in all jurisdictions where we operate.
What types of concerns can I report?

You can report any concern related to Aevum News operations, including but not limited to: conflicts of interest, harassment or discrimination, financial fraud, editorial bias, safety violations, privacy breaches, legal or regulatory violations, misrepresentation in reporting, and any other behavior that violates our code of ethics.
Who reviews the reports?

Reports are reviewed by our independent Ethics Board â a group of external experts in journalism ethics, law, and compliance. None of the board members are Aevum News employees. This ensures complete impartiality. The board chair is Dr. Helena Voss, former UNESCO Media Ethics Commissioner.
Can I report concerns about Aevum News content or journalism?

Absolutely. We welcome concerns about editorial integrity, perceived bias, factual inaccuracies, or any aspect of our journalism. This is a vital part of maintaining accountability and trust. All content-related reports are reviewed by both our Ethics Board and our Standards Editor.
How long does an investigation take?

The timeline depends on the complexity and severity of the report. Simple cases may be resolved within 1â2 weeks, while more complex investigations can take several weeks or months. You will receive periodic updates throughout the process. Urgent or critical reports are expedited.
What if I have already reported to the authorities?

That's perfectly fine. You can still file a report through our hotline so we are aware of the situation and can take appropriate internal action. If you've already engaged with law enforcement or regulatory bodies, please mention this in your report so we can coordinate appropriately.
