Comprehensive terms governing access, content usage, API integration, and community conduct across all Aevum News platforms.

1. Platform Access & Accounts

Aevum News provides tiered access to our journalism, live feeds, and archival databases. All users must adhere to the following access protocols:

  • Free Tier: Limited to 5 articles per day, delayed breaking news, and standard ad-supported viewing.
  • Subscriber Tier: Unlimited access, real-time updates, ad-free experience, and exclusive deep-dive analysis.
  • Enterprise/Press Tier: Institutional licensing, multi-seat management, RSS/API syndication, and dedicated account support.
⚠️ Account Security: Shared credentials are strictly prohibited. Automated bot access, credential stuffing, and scraping without explicit written consent will result in immediate IP bans and legal action.

2. Content & Republishing Rights

All articles, videos, graphics, and data visualizations produced by Aevum News are copyrighted under international law. Permitted usage includes:

  • Personal/Educational: Reading, printing for offline study, and sharing via direct links or social media with full attribution.
  • Journalistic Synergy: Quoting up to 100 words with clear attribution and a clickable link back to the original source is permitted under fair use.
  • Commercial Republishing: Requires a formal syndication license. Unauthorized scraping, mirroring, or AI-training ingestion is strictly forbidden.

3. API & Developer Access

Aevum News offers a structured API for partners, researchers, and accredited media outlets. Access is granted via OAuth 2.0 with rate limits based on tier:

Developers must comply with our API Acceptable Use Policy. Data cannot be resold, cached for longer than 24 hours, or used to build competing news products. All API responses include rate-limit headers and usage quotas.

4. Community & Editorial Conduct

Where user-generated content is enabled (comments, forums, polls), the following conduct standards apply:

  • No hate speech, harassment, defamation, or coordinated inauthentic behavior.
  • No misinformation campaigns or deliberate manipulation of editorial metrics.
  • All commercial promotions, affiliate links, and spam are subject to removal.
  • Aevum News reserves the right to moderate, delete, or ban accounts that violate community standards without prior notice.
📢 Reporting Violations: Use the built-in report function or contact moderation@aeumnews.com. All reports are reviewed within 24 hours.

5. Privacy & Data Usage

Aevum News adheres to global privacy frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD). We collect minimal data required for service delivery:

  • Analytics: Anonymized browsing patterns, device type, and geographic region (state-level) for content optimization.
  • Subscriptions: Payment processing is handled via PCI-DSS compliant third-party providers. We never store raw credit card data.
  • Cookies: Essential cookies are required. Analytics and ad cookies require explicit consent via our compliance banner.
  • Data Sharing: We do not sell personal data. Aggregated, anonymized insights may be shared with academic or press partners under strict data processing agreements.

6. Compliance & Amendments

These guidelines are legally binding upon access. Aevum News reserves the right to update these terms to reflect regulatory changes, platform upgrades, or editorial policy shifts. Material changes will be communicated via:

  • Platform notifications (30-day advance notice)
  • Email to registered accounts
  • Updated footer links and legal banners
