Children's Privacy Policy

Effective: October 15, 2024 | Last Updated: March 12, 2025

1. Introduction & Scope

Aevum Zenth Conglomerate ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and safety of children who interact with our digital properties, products, and services. This policy applies specifically to users under the age of 16 (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, where higher) and outlines how we collect, use, store, and share information from or about children.

This policy applies to our entertainment platforms, educational applications, gaming ecosystems, interactive media, and any services specifically designed for or marketed to children. Our broader Corporate Privacy Policy governs adult users and general data practices.

2. Plain Language Summary

For Parents: We limit data collection from children to what is strictly necessary for the service. We do not sell children's data, we never share it with advertisers for behavioral profiling, and we require verifiable parental consent before collecting any personal information. You control every aspect of your child's privacy settings.

For Kids: Our apps and games are made for fun and learning. We only ask for information that helps the experience work properly, like your username or game progress. We never use your info to show you ads based on what you like, and we keep your information safe. If you have questions, ask a grown-up or click "Help & Privacy" inside our apps.

3. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information from children, only when necessary to provide the requested service or when parental consent has been obtained:

  • Account Information: Username, display name, and parent-verified email address (never collected directly from children under 13).
  • Usage Data: Game progress, lesson completion, feature interactions, and crash reports to improve functionality and safety.
  • Safety & Moderation Data: Text from moderated chat features, voice filters for abuse detection, and optional parent-submitted safety reports.
  • Device & Technical Data: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers for session security, and IP address for regional compliance and fraud prevention.

We do not collect precise geolocation, financial information, social security numbers, or persistent audio/video recordings without explicit, written parental consent and clear disclosure.

4. How We Use Information

Children's data is used exclusively for:

  1. Providing, maintaining, and securing age-appropriate services
  2. Personalizing educational pacing and accessibility features (with parent approval)
  3. Enabling safe, moderated peer interaction where explicitly enabled by parents
  4. Complying with legal obligations, safety reporting, and fraud prevention
  5. Generating aggregate, anonymized analytics to improve product design

5. Parental Rights & Controls

We empower parents with transparent controls and verification mechanisms:

  • Verifiable Consent: We use credit card verification, government ID checks (processed securely and never stored), or third-party consent services before collecting personal data.
  • Parental Dashboard: Accessible via our Family Portal, allowing you to review, edit, export, or delete your child's data, adjust communication settings, and set spending/playtime limits.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Parents may revoke consent at any time. Upon revocation, we will cease processing the child's data and delete records within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.

6. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or license children's personal information. We may share data only with:

  • Trusted Service Providers: Hosted under strict data processing agreements for cloud infrastructure, payment processing (parent-verified), and safety moderation.
  • Legal & Safety Authorities: When required by law, to protect rights/safety, or to respond to lawful requests.
  • Corporate Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with strict confidentiality and purpose-limitation commitments.

All third parties are contractually bound to use data solely for the intended purpose and must comply with COPPA, GDPR-K, and applicable regional regulations.

7. Security & Data Retention

Children's data receives enhanced security protections:

  • End-to-end encryption for data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest
  • Regular third-party penetration testing and child-safety-specific vulnerability assessments
  • Strict access controls: Only authorized personnel with a legitimate business need can access child data
  • Retention: Data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the service or comply with legal obligations. Inactive accounts are archived or deleted within 12 months. Parents may request immediate deletion at any time.

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain session security, remember accessibility preferences, and ensure platform stability. We do not use behavioral advertising cookies, fingerprinting technologies, or cross-site trackers on children's properties. Any analytics cookies are anonymized and aggregated.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under:

  • COPPA (USA): Right to review, delete, and prevent further collection of your child's data.
  • GDPR-K / Age-Appropriate Design Code (EU/UK): Data minimization, privacy by default, right to access/rectification/erasure, and protection from profiling.
  • CCPA/CPRA (California): Right to know, delete, and opt-out of sale/sharing (though we do not sell children's data).
  • Other Regional Laws: Brazil (LGPD), Canada (PIPEDA), Australia (APP), etc.
