Aevum Zenth Launches World's Largest Solar-Powered Vertical Farm in Dubai

Aevum Zenth Conglomerate, through its Zenth Agritech division, today announced the official opening of Project Verdant, a 12-story, fully autonomous vertical farming facility in Dubai’s Al Quoz industrial district. Spanning 50,000 square meters of controlled environment agriculture, the facility represents the most significant private investment in sustainable food production in the Middle East to date.

Project Verdant utilizes Aevum Zenth’s proprietary AeroGrow™ atmospheric optimization system, combining AI-driven climate control, precision nutrient delivery, and 100% solar microgrid integration. The facility is projected to yield over 12,000 metric tons of leafy greens, herbs, and microgreens annually while consuming 95% less water and occupying 30 times less land than traditional agriculture.

The facility's automated supply chain eliminates middlemen, enabling farm-to-retail distribution within 6 hours. Produce will be supplied directly to major UAE retail chains, hospitality groups, and municipal food reserves, significantly reducing import dependency and carbon footprint.

Scalable Architecture & Regional Expansion

Built on a modular rack-system architecture, Project Verdant can be replicated in arid climates worldwide without modification. Aevum Zenth has already secured permitting for two additional facilities in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, with construction slated to begin in Q2 2027. Each sister facility will be customized to local crop demand while sharing the same core automation stack and energy infrastructure.

The Dubai site also houses a 24/7 Agritech Innovation Hub, open to researchers, university partners, and agritech startups. The hub will focus on seed optimization, pest-resilient cultivars, and closed-loop nutrient recycling systems. Initial partnerships include the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence and the Emirates Agricultural Research Institute.

Commitment to Sustainability

Aligned with Aevum Zenth's Net-Zero 2035 corporate mandate, Project Verdant operates entirely on renewable energy. Excess solar capacity is fed back into the Dubai municipal grid, offsetting an estimated 18,000 metric tons of CO₂ annually. All packaging is compostable, and the facility has achieved LEED Platinum certification for non-residential green buildings.
