Termination Policies & Procedures
Official guidelines governing the termination of employment, contracts, partnerships, and service agreements within Aevum Zenth Conglomerate.
1. Scope & Applicability
This policy establishes the standardized framework for all termination proceedings across Aevum Zenth Conglomerate and its 400+ subsidiary entities. It applies to:
- Full-time, part-time, contract, and temporary employees
- Third-party vendors, contractors, and strategic partners
- Client service agreements and subscription contracts
- Joint ventures and inter-company licensing arrangements
All terminations must comply with local labor laws, jurisdictional contract regulations, and subsidiary-specific operational mandates. This document serves as the baseline corporate standard.
2. Employment Termination
2.1 Voluntary Resignation
Employees initiating voluntary separation must submit written notice through the Aevum Zenth HR Portal. Standard notice periods apply based on employment classification and regional regulations.
2.2 Involuntary Termination
Involuntary separation may occur due to performance deficiencies, restructuring, misconduct, or operational necessity. All cases require documented progressive discipline, legal review, and executive approval per division.
| Employment Classification | Standard Notice Period | Final Settlement Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Standard / Hourly | 14 calendar days | Next standard payroll cycle |
| Professional / Contract | 30 calendar days | Within 5 business days of exit |
| Executive / C-Suite | 60–90 calendar days | Per severance agreement terms |
| Fixed-Term / Project | As per contract clause | Within 48 hours of completion |
3. Contract & Partnership Termination
Aevum Zenth maintains strict governance over B2B engagements. Terminations fall into three categories:
- For Cause: Material breach, fraud, compliance violations, or failure to meet SLA/KPI thresholds. Immediate suspension may apply pending investigation.
- For Convenience: Strategic realignment, budgetary adjustments, or operational optimization. Requires 60-day written notice.
- Mutual Agreement: Amicable separation with negotiated wind-down timelines, knowledge transfer protocols, and final deliverable handover.
All contract terminations must be reviewed by the Aevum Zenth Legal Affairs Division. Unauthorized termination by subsidiary leads may result in disciplinary action and financial liability.
4. Termination Procedure Workflow
All terminations must follow the standardized four-phase protocol to ensure operational continuity, data security, and regulatory compliance.
Initiation & Documentation
Submit termination request via the Corporate Governance Portal. Attach supporting documentation, performance records, or breach evidence.
Legal & HR Review
Compliance team validates jurisdictional requirements, contract clauses, and risk exposure. Approvals routed to Division Head and Legal Counsel.
Notification & Transition
Formal notice issued per required timeline. IT access revocation, asset retrieval, and knowledge transfer sessions scheduled.
Final Settlement & Closure
Process final compensation, invoices, or penalties. Update vendor/employee databases. Archive records per retention policy.
5. Post-Termination Obligations
Regardless of termination type, the following obligations remain in effect:
- Confidentiality: NDA and IP protection clauses remain perpetual. Unauthorized disclosure may result in legal action.
- Non-Compete / Non-Solicit: Active for 12–24 months depending on role and jurisdiction. Applies to employees and strategic partners.
- Data & Asset Return: All company devices, access credentials, proprietary datasets, and physical assets must be returned within 48 hours.
- Continuing Services: Certain contracts include mandatory post-termination support, warranty fulfillment, or regulatory reporting obligations.
