At Automotive DIY, we stand behind the quality of our tools, diagnostic equipment, educational content, and rental services. This policy outlines your rights, our commitments, and the procedures for returns, refunds, and warranty claims.

💡 Quick Summary: Physical products are eligible for a 30-day money-back guarantee. Digital courses & guides offer a 14-day refund window. All tools carry a 1–3 year manufacturer warranty depending on category.

1. Refund Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Refund eligibility depends on the product category:

1.1 Physical Products (Tools, Scanners, Kits)

1.2 Digital Products (Courses, E-Guides, Video Library)

1.3 Tool Rentals

Rental transactions are non-refundable once the rental period begins. If you no longer need the tool, you may swap it for another item of equal or greater value within the same rental window, subject to availability.

1.4 Return Process

  1. Contact our support team at returns@automotivediy.com with your order number and reason for return.
  2. Receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and shipping label (if applicable).
  3. Pack the item securely and ship it to our fulfillment center.
  4. Once received and inspected, refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.

2. Warranty Policy

All Automotive DIY hardware products are backed by manufacturer warranties. We extend additional coverage for registered customers.

2.1 What's Covered

⚠️ Warranty Exclusions: Coverage is voided by misuse, accidents, improper storage, unauthorized modifications, lack of maintenance, or use with incompatible vehicles. Normal wear and tear (e.g., ratchet detent spring fatigue, handle grip degradation) is not covered.

2.2 Warranty Claims Process

  1. Submit a warranty claim via our Support Portal with proof of purchase and photos/videos of the defect.
  2. Our technical team will review and respond within 48 business hours.
  3. If approved, we will ship a replacement, arrange repair, or issue a prorated refund based on product depreciation.
  4. Defective items may need to be returned at our expense depending on the claim outcome.
