User Conduct & Prohibited Activities

Welcome to BookEase. This section of our Terms of Service outlines the standards of conduct required when using our platform, as well as activities that are strictly prohibited. By accessing or using BookEase, you agree to abide by these rules.

Violations of this policy may result in account suspension, termination, and/or legal action. We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time, with notice provided via email or through the platform.

1. General Standards of Conduct

BookEase is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all users. When using our platform, you agree to:

• Be Respectful: Treat other users, service providers, and BookEase staff with courtesy and respect.
• Provide Accurate Information: Maintain your profile with truthful and up-to-date information.
• Use Services as Intended: Use the platform only for its intended purposes and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Protect Privacy: Do not share other users' personal information without explicit consent.

2. Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited on BookEase. Engaging in any of these behaviors may result in immediate account termination:

2.1 Fraud & Misrepresentation

• Creating fake accounts, reviews, or ratings.
• Providing false payment information or engaging in chargeback fraud.
• Impersonating any person, entity, or BookEase representative.
• Listing services that do not exist or that you are not authorized to provide.

2.2 Harassment & Abuse

• Harassing, threatening, intimidating, or bullying other users.
• Posting hate speech, discriminatory content, or content that promotes violence.
• Sending unsolicited messages, spam, or excessive notifications.
• Stalking or doxxing other users.

2.3 Unauthorized Access & Automation

• Using bots, scrapers, spiders, or other automated tools to access or book services without explicit written permission from BookEase.
• Attempting to circumvent booking limits, waitlists, or availability restrictions.
• Accessing accounts or data without authorization.
• Interfering with or disrupting the integrity or performance of the BookEase platform.

2.4 Illegal Activities

• Booking or listing services that involve illegal goods, substances, or activities.
• Using the platform for money laundering or illicit financial transactions.
• Soliciting or offering sexual services or any activity that violates applicable laws.
• Posting content that infringes on intellectual property rights, trademarks, or privacy rights.

2.5 Misuse of Booking System

• No-Shows: Repeatedly failing to attend booked appointments without canceling within the permitted window.
• Ghost Booking: Booking slots to block availability for others without intention to attend.
• Price Manipulation: Attempting to negotiate fees outside the platform to avoid BookEase service charges.
• Unauthorized Resale: Reselling booked slots to third parties without explicit permission.

3. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

• Do not share your password or login information with third parties.
• Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) where available.
• Immediately notify BookEase at legal@bookease.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
• BookEase is not liable for losses resulting from compromised account security due to user negligence.

4. Content Standards

Any content you post, upload, or transmit through BookEase must comply with the following:

• Not be defamatory, libelous, or harassing.
• Not contain malware, viruses, or harmful code.
• Not be sexually explicit, pornographic, or indecent.
• Not promote violence, hate, or discrimination.
• Not violate any third-party rights, including copyright or trademark.

BookEase reserves the right to remove any content that violates these standards without prior notice.

5. Reporting Violations

We rely on our community to help maintain a safe platform. If you observe any activity that violates this policy:

1. Use the "Report" button available on user profiles, listings, or messages.
2. Provide detailed information about the violation, including dates, user IDs, and screenshots if available.
3. Do not engage with the offending user or attempt to "investigate" on your own.

All reports are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team within 24–48 hours. We treat all reports confidentially and do not share reporter identities.

6. Enforcement & Penalties

BookEase will take appropriate action against users who violate this policy, which may include but is not limited to:

• Warning: A formal notice describing the violation and required corrective action.
• Content Removal: Deleting violating content from the platform.
• Account Suspension: Temporary restriction of account access for a specified period.
• Permanent Ban: Termination of account and permanent prohibition from creating new accounts.
• Financial Remediation: Forfeiture of pending payouts, refunds to affected users, or charges for damages incurred.
• Legal Action: Cooperation with law enforcement and pursuit of civil remedies where applicable.

BookEase reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, the severity of violations and appropriate penalties.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this User Conduct & Prohibited Activities policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via email and/or a notice on the platform. Your continued use of BookEase after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
