Welcome to In Therapy

We are a community of dedicated professionals and advocates committed to transforming how mental health care is experienced, accessed, and understood.

📖

Our Beginning

Where It All Began

In Therapy was born from a simple but profound realization: healing should never feel like a transaction. In 2018, a small group of licensed clinicians, researchers, and patient advocates came together with a shared frustration—mental health care was fragmented, inaccessible, and often stripped of its humanity.

We set out to build something different. A space where evidence-based practice meets genuine connection. Where clients are seen as whole people, not diagnoses. Where therapists are supported to practice at their best. What started as a pilot program in a single neighborhood has grown into a nationally recognized model of care, but our mission remains unchanged.

What Guides Us

Our values aren't just words on a wall—they are the foundation of every interaction, decision, and innovation we undertake.

🤝

Radical Empathy

We lead with curiosity, not judgment. Understanding the full context of a person's experience is how we build trust and facilitate real change.

🔬

Evidence & Evolution

We ground our practices in rigorous research while remaining open to new insights, diverse methodologies, and the voices of those we serve.

🌍

Equity & Access

Mental health care is a human right. We actively dismantle barriers through sliding scales, community partnerships, and culturally responsive frameworks.

Our Philosophy of Care

Healing is not about fixing what is broken. It is about remembering what is whole, and gently creating space for it to emerge.

We believe therapy is a collaborative journey, not a prescription. The therapeutic relationship is the primary vehicle for change, and we invest deeply in fostering safety, authenticity, and mutual respect.

Our clinicians are trained in multiple modalities—CBT, ACT, EMDR, psychodynamic, somatic, and relational approaches—but we never force a model onto a person. Instead, we co-create a path that honors your history, your strengths, and your pace.

We also recognize that mental health does not exist in a vacuum. We integrate community resources, educational outreach, and systemic advocacy into our work, because lasting wellness requires more than individual coping strategies.
