Last Updated: October 24, 2024

StarWave Entertainment is committed to protecting the privacy and safety of children who access or interact with our digital platforms, streaming services, mobile applications, games, and live event registrations. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard information from users under the age of 13, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable international regulations.

1. Scope & Applicability

This Children's Privacy Policy applies to all StarWave Entertainment properties, including but not limited to our streaming platform, mobile applications, interactive games, websites, and event registration portals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age without verifiable parental consent. If you are a parent or legal guardian, you may review, delete, or refuse further collection of your child's information at any time.

Note: If you believe we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without proper parental consent, please contact us immediately using the information provided in Section 8.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information that is necessary to provide a safe, age-appropriate experience. Information may be collected directly or indirectly through the following methods:

  • Direct Input: Account creation, profile setup, or event registration submitted by a parent/guardian on behalf of a child.
  • Interactive Features: Limited data from educational games, quizzes, or creative tools, strictly within COPPA-compliant environments.
  • Technical Data: Device information, IP addresses, browser type, and usage analytics to ensure platform stability and content delivery.
  • Cookies & Tracking: We do not use behavioral tracking, interest-based advertising, or data selling technologies on child-directed properties.

3. How We Use Information

Information collected from or about children is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  1. Providing and personalizing age-appropriate entertainment content.
  2. Managing parent/guardian controls and account settings.
  3. Ensuring platform safety, security, and fraud prevention.
  4. Communicating with parents regarding account activity, safety features, or service updates.
  5. Improving user experience and technical performance of our platforms.

4. Information Sharing & Disclosure

StarWave Entertainment does not sell, trade, or rent children's personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Trusted third parties who assist with platform operations, content delivery, or customer support, bound by strict confidentiality and data protection agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of children, users, or the public.
  • Parent/Guardian: Shared directly with authorized account holders for transparency and control.

5. Parental Rights & Consent

We empower parents with full visibility and control over their child's data. Parents may:

  • Review collected information by accessing the Parental Dashboard in our app or website.
  • Delete all stored data associated with a child's profile at any time.
  • Opt-out of any non-essential data collection features.
  • Revoke consent and request account closure with a single request.

Verifiable parental consent is required before any personal information is collected. We offer multiple consent verification methods, including email verification, credit card verification, or government ID validation (never fully stored).

6. Data Security & Retention

We implement industry-standard encryption, secure server infrastructure, and regular security audits to protect children's information. All data is stored on secure, access-controlled systems and is only accessible to authorized personnel who require it for operational purposes.

We retain children's data only as long as necessary to provide services or comply with legal obligations. Upon account deletion or parental request, all identifiable information is permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days.

7. Policy Updates

We may update this policy to reflect changes in technology, regulations, or our services. When we make material changes, we will notify parents through email, in-app notifications, or prominent website banners. Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
