Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions before reaching out.

01 Can I access archived pages for free?

+

Yes! Public access to our archived collection is completely free. Researchers, students, and the general public can browse and view over 4.2 million archived pages at no cost. Some advanced features like bulk downloads and API access require a paid subscription.

02 How can I contribute content to the archive?

+

We welcome contributions! You can submit archived content via our Contributor Portal, or email us at contribute@1990webarchive.com. We particularly need help preserving personal homepages, early e-commerce sites, and educational resources from the 1990s.

03 Do you offer API access for researchers?

+

Absolutely. Our REST API provides programmatic access to the entire archive with full metadata, original HTML, screenshots, and cryptographic verification data. API keys are available for Academic, Enterprise, and Non-Profit tiers at our pricing page.

04 I lost my favorite 90s website. Can you restore it?

+

We can try! Start by using our search tool with the domain name or URL. If we have it archived, you'll be able to view it instantly. If we don't have it, submit a preservation request and our team will look for available snapshots from backup sources.

05 Is my contact information kept private?

+

100%. We follow strict data privacy policies. Your personal information is only used to respond to your inquiry and is never shared with third parties. See our full Privacy Policy for details on data handling and retention.
