1997-2001 - Peak Era
The platform hosted millions of personal homepages characterized by hand-coded HTML, animated GIFs, frames, and the iconic yellow footer advertisement. It was the internet's original CMS.
2013 - Shutdown & Loss
AT&T, the final owner, permanently shut down Tripod. Millions of personal histories, fan communities, and digital diaries vanished. Our archive serves as the definitive rescue mission.
