Applications are reviewed within 4–6 weeks of the deadline. You'll receive a notification email with the status of your application. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews within an additional 2 weeks.
Yes, you may apply to multiple open programs. However, you can only receive one active grant at a time. If selected for multiple programs, you'll be asked to choose which award to accept.
Absolutely not. We provide editorial guidance and support, but grantees retain full editorial independence. Our role is to empower your storytelling, not direct it. We have a strict non-interference policy enshrined in every grant agreement.
All applicants receive detailed feedback on their proposals. If not selected, you're welcome to revise and reapply in a future cycle. We also offer free editorial consultations to help strengthen future applications.
Funding is disbursed in milestones based on project progress. Typically, 40% is released upon acceptance, 30% at the midpoint, and 30% upon completion. All disbursements require a brief progress report.
No. Grantees retain full publishing rights and can publish their work anywhere. We simply request to be credited as a funder and may offer to cross-publish selected pieces on our platform with the grantee's consent.
Academic institutions can apply through their student journalism programs or media labs. The project must have a clear journalistic output (articles, documentaries, data projects) rather than purely academic research.
