Apply & Initial Review

Submit your application through our careers page or apply directly to an open role. Our hiring team reviews every application within 48 hours. We look at your background, projects, and the unique perspective you'd bring.

Recruiter Screen (30 min)

A friendly conversation with one of our recruiters to learn about your career goals, interests, and expectations. This is also your chance to ask questions about our culture, team structure, and what working with us is like.

Technical Assessment

A practical, take-home coding exercise or system design challenge relevant to the role. No trick questions, no LeetCode edge cases. We want to see how you think, solve real problems, and write clean, maintainable code.

Team Interviews (2 rounds)

Two deep-dive sessions with future teammates. One focuses on technical skills and problem-solving; the other is a collaborative session where you'll work through a realistic scenario together. Culture fit is a two-way street — we want you to evaluate us too.

From application to offer, our entire process typically takes 2–4 weeks. We strive to move efficiently because we know great talent is in demand. You'll receive updates at every stage, and we never leave candidates waiting without communication.

No. Our technical assessment focuses on practical, real-world problem-solving. We give you a take-home project similar to what you'd actually build at App Config.json. We care about clean code, thoughtful architecture, and clear communication — not memorized algorithms.

Yes. Our entire hiring process is conducted virtually. Interviews are via video call, assessments are completed on your own schedule, and the final offer discussion happens over a call. We have team members across 20+ countries.

We provide constructive feedback to every candidate who completes the technical assessment. If you're close but not quite right for the current role, we'll keep you in our talent pipeline and reach out when a better match opens up. Many of our hires were previously unsuccessful candidates.

Absolutely. We encourage internal mobility. After your first 6 months, you can explore other teams or roles within the company. We've had engineers move to product, designers move to engineering, and customer success leads move into operations. Growth isn't linear here.
