From a Small Atelier to a Global Creative Force

Artisan Studio began as a two-person design workshop in a converted loft in downtown Brooklyn. What started as a shared obsession with typography, color theory, and brand storytelling quickly evolved into a multidisciplinary creative agency.

Today, we're a team of 15+ specialists spanning graphic design, UI/UX, motion, photography, and strategy. Despite our growth, we've never lost our founder's ethos: design should serve a purpose, not just look pretty.

2009

The Beginning

Founded in a Brooklyn loft by Alex Mercer and two junior designers. First client: a local organic coffee roaster.

2014

Award Recognition

Won our first Gold Pencil for packaging design. Expanded to a 10-person team and moved to a dedicated studio.

2019

Digital Transformation

Launched our UI/UX and Web Development division. Partnered with tech startups and scale-ups across the US.

2024

Global Reach

Clients in 12 countries. Launched Artisan Labs for experimental design research and AI-assisted creativity.
