🔗 What Is the Skip Link?
The "Skip to Main Content" link is a foundational web accessibility feature. It provides a shortcut for keyboard users and screen reader users to bypass repetitive navigation menus, banners, and footers, jumping directly to the primary content of any LoveLink page.

⚙️ How It Works
- Hidden by default: The link exists in the DOM but is visually hidden to keep the interface clean for mouse users.
- Focus triggers visibility: When you press Tab, CSS brings the link into view and moves it to the top of the viewport.
- Instant navigation: Activating it moves keyboard focus directly to the element with
id="main-content". - Screen reader friendly: Assistive technologies announce it as a navigational landmark shortcut.

Our dating platform is fully navigable without a mouse. Use these standard shortcuts across all features:

🎧 Screen Reader & Assistive Technology
LoveLink is optimized for major assistive technologies including NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. We use semantic HTML5 landmarks, ARIA live regions for real-time match notifications, and descriptive alt text for all profile imagery.
When you use the skip link, screen readers will announce: "Skip to main content. Link." Activating it announces: "Main content. Region."

- Text Scaling: Use Ctrl + + / - (or Cmd + + / - on Mac) to resize text up to 200% without breaking layout.
- Reduce Motion: LoveLink automatically detects
prefers-reduced-motionand disables all non-essential animations. - High Contrast: Compatible with OS-level high contrast modes. We maintain a 4.5:1 minimum contrast ratio for all text.
- Focus Indicators: Bold, 3px focus rings are applied to all interactive elements for clear visibility.
