Quality & Warranty Rights

As a client of MetalCore Manufacturing, you have the right to receive components and assemblies that strictly adhere to the specifications, tolerances, and material standards outlined in your purchase order or engineering drawings.

  • Defect Coverage: A standard 12-month warranty covers manufacturing defects, material flaws, and deviations from approved specifications.
  • Inspection Rights: You may request first-article inspection (FAI) reports, CMM data, and material certifications prior to shipment.
  • Corrective Action: In the event of non-conformance, MetalCore will provide a root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) report within 5 business days.

Returns & Conformance Policy

We maintain a transparent process for handling non-conforming parts, overages, or production errors.

  1. Notification: Report non-conforming material within 30 days of receipt via your account portal or email.
  2. RMA Process: A Return Merchandise Authorization will be issued. MetalCore covers return shipping for verified manufacturing defects.
  3. Resolution: Approved claims result in replacement, rework, or proportional credit. Custom/prototyped parts with approved deviations may be subject to a restocking fee.

Data Privacy & Confidentiality

Your engineering data, CAD files, BOMs, and business information are treated as strictly confidential. MetalCore complies with GDPR, CCPA, and industry-standard data protection frameworks.

  • Data Ownership: All client-provided files and proprietary data remain your exclusive property.
  • Secure Storage: Files are stored on encrypted, access-controlled servers with regular backups. Third-party subcontractors sign NDAs before data sharing.
  • Retention & Deletion: Upon request, we will permanently archive or delete project data within 14 days, except where retention is legally required.

Intellectual Property Rights

Intellectual property boundaries are clearly defined to protect both parties:

  • Client IP: Designs, drawings, and specifications submitted to MetalCore remain your intellectual property. We will not reproduce, reverse-engineer, or distribute them without written authorization.
  • MetalCore IP: Our proprietary machining strategies, tooling designs, and manufacturing processes remain our intellectual property.
  • Tooling Ownership: Custom tooling paid for by the client is considered client property and may be released upon request, subject to standard retrieval protocols.

Dispute Resolution & Recourse

We prioritize direct communication and collaborative problem-solving. Formal escalation paths are clearly defined:

  1. Account Management: Initial review and resolution attempt within 3 business days.
  2. Technical Review Board: Engineering and quality leadership evaluation for complex or high-value disputes.
  3. Formal Claims: Written claims must include inspection reports, photos, and reference PO/lot numbers. Response within 7 business days.
  4. Arbitration: Unresolved commercial disputes will be settled through binding arbitration in Wayne County, Michigan, under AAA rules, unless otherwise specified in contract.

Certifications & Regulatory Traceability

You have the right to full supply chain transparency and compliance documentation:

  • ISO Standards: ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), AS9100D (Aerospace), ISO 13485 (Medical), and IATF 16949 (Automotive) available upon request.
  • Material Certs: MTRs (Material Test Reports), heat lot traceability, and RoHS/REACH compliance documentation provided per shipment.
  • Audit Rights: Scheduled facility audits and supplier assessments are available with 10 business days notice.
