Remove any labels and ensure the cardboard tube is completely dry. Avoid rolls with ink or glossy coatings.
Using scissors, carefully cut 5-6 vertical slits along the length of the tube. Each slit should be about 2-3 inches deep.
Open the slits slightly to create flaps. These will hold the treats in place while allowing your dog to sniff and poke them out.
Place small kibble or soft treats inside each slit, pressing them slightly so they stay put but aren't completely sealed.
Place the roll inside a flat cardboard box to prevent rolling. Use tape if needed. Let your dog figure it out!
