What happens if I don't reach my funding goal?
RaiseIt uses an "all-or-nothing" funding model. If your campaign doesn't reach 100% of your goal by the deadline, no payments are processed, and all contributions are automatically refunded to backers. You can choose to extend your campaign or relaunch it.
When do I receive my funds after a successful campaign?
Once your campaign ends successfully, funds are held for 3–5 business days for fraud review. After clearance, payout is initiated within 1 business day. Direct deposit typically takes 2–3 business days, while ACH/wire transfers may take up to 5 business days.
Can I extend my campaign deadline?
Yes! You can extend your campaign by 7, 14, or 30 days from the campaign dashboard. Extensions can only be applied before the original deadline passes. Extended time will be announced automatically to your backers.
How do backers request a refund?
Backers can request refunds directly from their "My Backings" page. For campaigns under 7 days old, refunds are instant. After 7 days, refunds require creator approval or our support team's review. We recommend communicating directly with backers for smoother resolutions.
Why is identity verification required?
Verification helps prevent fraud, protects backers, and ensures compliance with financial regulations. You'll need a government-issued ID and a recent utility bill or bank statement. Verification typically takes 24–48 hours once submitted.
