14. Changes to Terms
Last Updated: November 15, 2024 | Effective Date: December 1, 2024
At StarWave Entertainment, our commitment to transparency and fairness guides how we manage and communicate changes to our Terms of Service. As the entertainment and digital media landscape evolves, we may periodically update these terms to reflect changes in our services, applicable laws, regulatory requirements, or business operations.
Important Notice: We encourage you to review this section regularly. Your continued use of StarWave Entertainment's platforms, content, or services after any modifications constitute your acceptance of the revised terms.
14.1 Notification of Modifications
When we make material changes to these Terms, we will provide you with advance notice through one or more of the following methods:
- In-Platform Notification: A prominent banner or pop-up alert on your StarWave dashboard or streaming interface.
- Email Communication: A direct email sent to the primary address associated with your account or business partnership.
- Public Posting: Updated terms will be published on our website with a revised "Last Updated" date clearly displayed.
- Partner/Client Briefings: For B2B clients, talent agencies, or production partners, designated account managers will provide written summaries of material changes.
Non-material or administrative changes (such as correcting typographical errors, updating contact information, or making minor formatting adjustments) may take effect immediately without separate notice.
14.2 Review Period & Effective Dates
For material changes, we will provide a minimum review period of 30 days before the new terms become effective. During this window, you may:
- Review the full updated Terms of Service and any comparative summaries provided.
- Continue using our services under the existing terms until the effective date.
- Choose to discontinue your account or partnership if you do not agree with the modifications, following our cancellation guidelines outlined in Section 8.
In exceptional circumstances involving urgent security patches, legal compliance requirements, or platform-critical updates, we reserve the right to implement changes with a shorter notice period, provided such actions do not fundamentally alter your core rights or obligations.
14.3 Acceptance & Continued Use
By accessing, streaming, downloading, or otherwise utilizing any StarWave Entertainment content, platform, or service after the effective date of revised terms, you expressly acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the updated Terms of Service.
If you do not agree with any modification, your sole remedy is to cease using our services and terminate your account in accordance with our standard closure procedures. Failure to terminate your account following notification of changes will be deemed as continued acceptance.
14.4 Historical Versions & Archive Access
StarWave Entertainment maintains an archive of previous versions of our Terms of Service for transparency and compliance purposes. While we do not guarantee long-term public hosting of archived documents, you may request access to historical terms applicable to your account or contract period by contacting our legal compliance team.
For enterprise clients and licensed content partners, version history will be documented in your master service agreement (MSA) addendums and stored in your dedicated partner portal.
14.5 Jurisdiction & Governing Law Consistency
Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the revised terms, changes to these Terms will not alter the governing law, dispute resolution mechanisms, or jurisdictional provisions established in Section 22. Any modifications to legal frameworks will be clearly highlighted and require separate acknowledgment where applicable by local regulations.
14.6 Questions & Support
