David Park

David Park is a founding member of the 1990 Web Archive initiative and one of the few specialists actively mapping the structural decay of early web hosting platforms. His work focuses on reconstructing fragmented server directories, recovering MIME-type deprecated assets, and documenting the socio-technical culture of dialup-era communities.
Before joining the archive, David maintained personal mirrors of early HTML reference libraries and contributed to the first open-source crawling scripts designed for 14.4k modem throughput constraints. He currently leads the "NeoTown Reconstruction Project" and advises academic institutions on digital preservation standards for legacy web formats.
