Adolescent Therapy Services
Supporting teens through academic pressure, identity development, relationship challenges, and emotional transitions in a safe, confidential, and empowering environment.
Adolescence is a period of profound neurological, emotional, and social development. While many teens navigate this phase with resilience, others face challenges that can impact their mental health, academic performance, and relationships. At In Therapy, we provide specialized, evidence-based care tailored to the unique needs of teenagers aged 13 to 19.
"Our adolescent therapists create a judgment-free space where teens feel heard, validated, and equipped with practical coping skills for everyday life and future growth."
We work closely with both teens and their families, respecting the adolescent's developing autonomy while keeping caregivers appropriately informed. Our goal is to help your teen build emotional resilience, improve self-regulation, and foster healthier relationships.

What to Expect
Transparent, consistent, and designed around your teen's comfort and growth.
🔒 Confidentiality & Trust
Adolescent therapy is built on trust. While we maintain strict confidentiality, we transparently discuss safety boundaries from the first session. Teens are encouraged to ask questions about what stays private and what may require caregiver involvement.
⏱️ Session Structure
Individual adolescent sessions are 50 minutes. We recommend weekly or bi-weekly meetings initially, adjusting frequency based on progress. Sessions can be in-person at our office or conducted securely online.
👨👩👦 Caregiver Involvement
We offer optional check-ins for parents/guardians to provide guidance, discuss progress (within confidentiality limits), and learn how to support therapeutic work at home. Your teen's consent and comfort remain the priority.

If your teen is experiencing persistent sadness, anxiety, academic decline, social withdrawal, risky behaviors, or significant mood changes lasting more than two weeks, therapy can provide valuable support and coping strategies.
No. Therapists respect adolescent pacing. The focus is on building rapport first. Teens are never forced to share, and therapy moves at a pace that feels safe and manageable for them.
We explain confidentiality clearly to both teen and parent at intake. While details remain private, therapists will communicate if there are safety concerns (self-harm, harm to others, abuse). Regular, age-appropriate progress updates can be shared with caregivers.
Yes. Our secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform is highly effective for teens who prefer the comfort of home or need flexible scheduling. Session quality and therapeutic depth remain consistent.
Duration varies. Some teens benefit from short-term focused therapy (8-12 sessions), while others prefer longer-term support. Progress is regularly reviewed, and goals are adjusted collaboratively.
