🔍 Methodology & Standards

How are carbon offsets calculated? ▼
We use ISO 14064-1 for greenhouse gas accounting. Direct emissions (Scope 1 & 2) are measured via utility data and fleet telematics. Indirect emissions (Scope 3) are calculated using DEFRA guidelines and vendor-reported LCA data. Offsets are only purchased after maximum feasible reduction, prioritizing verified nature-based and tech removal projects.
What happens to unreturned packaging? ▼
All transit mailers are designed for home composting. If collected through our drop-off program, they undergo industrial composting or chemical recycling. We track collection rates per region and publish regional diversion metrics monthly.
How do vendors comply with the framework? ▼
Vendors complete an annual ESG self-assessment and must meet tiered benchmarks based on category risk. Non-compliant partners enter a 12-month remediation period. We provide free training modules and carbon accounting tools to support transition.
