30-Day Return Window

We want you to feel completely confident in every tool, part, and kit you purchase. If you're not satisfied with your order, you may return it within 30 days of the original delivery date for a full refund or exchange.

Eligibility & Condition Requirements

To qualify for a return, your order must meet the following conditions:

  • Items must be in their original, unopened packaging (or securely repackaged if opened for inspection).
  • Tools, parts, and accessories must be unused, uninstalled, and free of damage, oil, or corrosion.
  • All included accessories, manuals, warranty cards, and mounting hardware must be present.
  • Original order number or receipt must be provided for processing.

💡 Tip: Automotive parts exposed to road dust, brake dust, or fluids cannot be resold for safety and quality reasons. Please verify fitment before installation.

How to Initiate a Return

Email us or use your account dashboard to request an RMA number.

Pack Securely

Place items in original packaging with padding to prevent transit damage.

Ship & Track

Attach the prepaid label (if applicable) and ship with a tracking number.

Inspection & Refund

We inspect within 2 business days and process your refund automatically.

Return requests can be submitted through our Support Portal or by emailing returns@automotivediy.com. Please allow up to 48 hours for RMA approval.

Refund Processing

  • Refund Method: Issued back to the original payment method used at checkout.
  • Timeline: Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days after we receive and inspect your return.
  • Shipping Costs: Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong/damaged item).
  • Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee may apply to open-box tools or specialty parts that cannot be resold as new.

Non-Returnable Items

For safety, hygiene, and manufacturer compliance, the following items cannot be returned:

  • Consumables once opened: motor oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, lubricants, and filters.
  • Installed or used brake pads, rotors, clutches, or suspension components.
  • Custom-ordered, modified, or vehicle-specific parts clearly marked as non-returnable at checkout.
  • Safety equipment: helmets, seatbelts, harnesses, and fire suppression systems (if packaging is compromised).
  • Digital products: e-guides, video courses, and downloadable tune files.
  • Clearance, final sale, or bundled promotional items marked as final.

Defective or Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please report it within 14 days of delivery. We will provide a prepaid return label and ship a replacement immediately—no restocking fee applies. For manufacturing defects, our partner warranty covers repair or replacement per the manufacturer's terms.

Exchanges

Need a different size, fitment, or color? Exchanges follow the same 30-day window and condition requirements. Once we process your return, we'll issue a store credit or ship the replacement. Any price difference will be charged or refunded accordingly.
