NAI Participation & Standards

CloudNexus adheres to the voluntary standards and best practices established by the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI). The NAI is a trade association representing companies that use cookies and other tracking technologies to measure and serve advertising across the internet.

While CloudNexus primarily operates as a cloud infrastructure and hosting provider, certain platform features, analytics integrations, and third-party advertising partnerships may intersect with NAI member networks. This page provides full transparency regarding those interactions, data handling practices, and your rights as an end user.

How We Use Data for Advertising

Data collected within the CloudNexus ecosystem may be processed in the following advertising-related contexts:

• Platform Optimization: Aggregated usage metrics to improve service delivery and infrastructure allocation.
• Partner Integrations: Third-party tools (e.g., analytics, monitoring, or marketing platforms) embedded by customers or partners, which operate under their own privacy terms.
• Contextual Advertising: When applicable, ads served on CloudNexus public-facing pages are based on page content, not user browsing history.
• Fraud & Abuse Prevention: Signal analysis to detect automated traffic, credential stuffing, or policy violations.

We do not sell personal data to third-party advertisers. Any data shared with advertising networks is anonymized, aggregated, or processed strictly under explicit customer consent and contractual data processing agreements.

Third-Party Advertising Networks

CloudNexus may integrate with or display advertisements from networks that are members of the NAI or operate under similar self-regulatory frameworks. These networks may use cookies, device identifiers, or other tracking technologies to:

• Deliver ads tailored to your interests
• Measure ad campaign performance
• Limit the number of times you see an ad
• Prevent fraudulent or invalid traffic

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

The following tracking technologies may be used in connection with advertising and measurement:

• Session Cookies: Maintain secure login states and platform navigation.
• Persistent Analytics Cookies: Track aggregate page views, load times, and error rates.
• Advertising Cookies: Set by third-party ad networks to serve relevant content and measure campaign reach.
• Device Fingerprinting (Limited): Used exclusively for security, fraud detection, and DDoS mitigation, not for advertising profiling.

User Rights & Opt-Out Mechanisms

We respect your right to opt out of interest-based advertising and data sharing for advertising purposes. The following mechanisms are available:

Important: Opting out of interest-based advertising does not mean you will no longer see ads. It means the ads you do see will not be based on your browsing activity across websites. Additionally, opt-out preferences may reset if you clear your browser cookies, upgrade your browser, or use a new device. Please revisit the opt-out pages as needed.

Data Retention & Security

Advertising-related data processed by or through CloudNexus infrastructure is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this disclosure and our Privacy Policy. Standard retention periods include:

• Aggregated Analytics: Up to 24 months
• Ad Campaign Logs: Up to 13 months (in compliance with DAA guidelines)
• Security & Fraud Signals: Up to 12 months, after which identifiers are pseudonymized

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Access is restricted to authorized personnel bound by strict confidentiality and data processing agreements.

Updates to This Disclosure

We may update this NAI Transparency page to reflect changes in our infrastructure, third-party partnerships, regulatory requirements, or industry standards. Material updates will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
