How do I start a crowdfunding campaign?

Start by creating a free account, then click "Start a Campaign" from your dashboard. Fill in your project details, set a funding goal and deadline, add compelling photos and a video, and choose your reward tiers. Once reviewed (usually within 24-48 hours), your campaign will go live!

What types of projects are allowed?

RaiseIt supports creative, technological, environmental, and community projects. We accept campaigns for product design, art, music, film, gaming, food, sustainability, and more. Please review our Community Guidelines for a full list of allowed and prohibited content.

Is there a fee to create a campaign?

Creating a campaign is completely free. We only charge a 5% success fee on funds raised, plus payment processing fees of 3% + $0.20 per pledge. If your campaign doesn't reach its goal, you pay nothing.

How long can a campaign run?

Campaigns can run for a maximum of 60 days. We recommend 30 days as the sweet spot β€” campaigns under 30 days tend to raise more on average because they create urgency.

What payment methods do backers support?

Backers can contribute using credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfers in supported countries. All transactions are encrypted and secured through Stripe.

When do I receive my funds?

Once your campaign successfully ends, funds are transferred to your connected bank account within 5-7 business days. You can also request an early payout through your dashboard after reaching 50% of your goal.

Can I change my funding goal after launching?

You can increase your funding goal during an active campaign, but it must be increased by at least 20% of the current goal. You cannot decrease your goal once the campaign is live.

How are international payments handled?

RaiseIt supports multi-currency funding. Backers pay in their local currency, and you receive funds in your preferred currency. Currency conversion rates are applied at the time of transaction via our banking partners.

How do I update my campaign?

Navigate to your campaign dashboard and click "Updates". You can share progress reports, photos, new milestones, and answers to backer questions. Sending regular updates keeps your backers engaged and can boost your final totals by up to 40%.

Can I cancel my campaign?

Yes, you can cancel an active campaign at any time from your dashboard. All unfulfilled pledges will be immediately refunded to backers. Any funds already collected will remain with you if you've met at least 50% of your goal. Contact support to assist with cancellation.

How do I set up reward tiers?

In your campaign settings, click "Add Reward". Set a minimum pledge amount, write a description, add an estimated delivery date, and optionally set a quantity limit. We recommend at least 3-4 reward tiers to maximize conversions.

What happens if my campaign doesn't reach its goal?

With our "Flexible Funding" option, you keep whatever amount is raised regardless of whether you hit your goal. With "All-or-Nothing", you receive nothing if the goal isn't met, but backers' payments are never charged unless the goal is reached.

How do I pledge to a project?

Click the "Back This Project" button, choose a reward tier (or enter a custom amount), select your payment method, and confirm your pledge. You'll receive a confirmation email and can track your pledge from your dashboard.

Can I get a refund for my pledge?

You can request a refund within 48 hours of pledging for a full refund. After that, please contact the campaign creator directly first. If the issue cannot be resolved, our support team will mediate the situation.

The creator hasn't delivered. What do I do?

First, message the creator through the campaign page. If you don't receive a response within 7 days, or if the delivery is significantly different from what was promised, file a report through your dashboard under "Report an Issue". We'll investigate and work toward a resolution.

How do I verify my account?

Go to Settings β†’ Verification. You'll need to provide a government-issued ID, verify your email and phone number, and link a bank account. Verification typically takes 1-2 business days and is required to launch campaigns or receive funds.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Enter your registered email address and we'll send you a secure reset link within minutes. The link expires after 1 hour for security. If you don't receive it, check your spam folder or contact support.

Is my financial information safe?

Absolutely. We use 256-bit SSL encryption and PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance. We never store your full credit card details β€” all payments are processed securely through Stripe. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is also available for your account.
